Joanna Osawe, WiRE President & CEO,
will be speaking at the NAYGN Continental Conference!
NAYGN is proud to announce our second stand-alone NAYGN Continental Conference starting Sunday, June 2, 2024, and concluding Wednesday, June 5, 2024, in beautiful Charlotte, North Carolina. This year’s conference is celebrating 25 Years of NAYGN Energizing the Future of Nuclear! The morning plenaries will be held at the Knight Theater, and afternoon breakout sessions will be held across the street at the Mint Museum Uptown. This conference is for young professionals in the nuclear industry who are eager to engage in professional development, soft skills training, technical discussions, and networking with industry executives.
NAYGN will kick off the conference at U.S. National Whitewater Center with an opportunity for attendees to participate in a local outreach event.
Attendees will then have the opportunity to sit in on sessions discussing the future of nuclear and ways to think innovatively about the future of clean energy. Technical sessions including new advanced reactors, artificial intelligence, nuclear medicine, global nuclear perspectives, and much more will be provided. Breakout sessions will cover methods to enhance your professional development career, how to be a successful leader for your local NAYGN chapter and region, championing Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DE&I) within the nuclear sector, and speed networking. More details on speakers will be released on our social media pages and this website.
Concluding the conference, attendees will have the opportunity to visit one of two Duke Energy nuclear stations, McGuire Nuclear Station or Catawba Nuclear Station, or Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) Charlotte labs or workshop on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. Transportation will be provided for each tour/workshop, with buses departing directly from Uptown Charlotte. Tours/Workshop are complimentary and are being provided by Duke Energy and EPRI. Capacity is limited and is available on a first-come, first-served basis when completing registration, so register early to secure your spot!
An exhibit hall including NAYGN’s sponsors, industry partners, and nuclear advocates will be available for attendees to enjoy between sessions, breaks, and lunch. At the end of each day, a networking event will be held to allow members to network with other conference attendees, industry members, and NAYGN board members.
