This year marks a significant milestone for WiRE (Women in Renewable Energy) as we celebrate our 10th anniversary! Over the past decade, we have experienced tremendous growth and success, and we are incredibly proud of what we have achieved.

Starting from a single chapter in Toronto, Ontario, we have expanded our reach globally, establishing chapters in nearly every continent. WiRE has grown to over 25 chapters, over 180 events with more than 7,000 attendees, and an online community of 26,000 and counting! This expansion is a testament to our commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive community in the clean energy sector. We are excited about the future as we continue to grow, with plans to establish even more chapters around the globe.

We owe our success to the many inspiring women and men who have generously volunteered their time and shared their knowledge. Their contributions have been instrumental in building our global community. It has truly been a team effort, and we are deeply grateful for their support. Without them, we would not have been able to make the impact that we have.

Our mission is to advance the role and recognition of women and other underrepresented groups in the clean energy sector. We believe that this mission is more critical than ever as we strive for a just energy transition. We are committed to empowering women globally, ensuring they receive the recognition, support, and opportunities they deserve.

While we are proud of what we have achieved in our first decade, we believe that this is just the beginning. As we look forward to the next decade, we are excited about the potential for further growth and impact. We remain committed to our mission and look forward to continuing our work of empowering women in the clean energy sector.
