Fresh Air Fresh Food

The Fresh Air, Fresh Food Initiative addresses the critical issue of indoor air pollution caused by burning solid fuels for cooking, heating, and lighting in low- and middle-income countries. This disproportionately affects women and girls, leading to millions of premature deaths annually.

The initiative aims to increase knowledge of best practices for healthy food and fuel use while expanding access to clean cooking technologies and healthy energy sources. This will be achieved through direct delivery of programs and materials, both in-person and online, focusing on remote, hard-to-access communities, islands, and areas far from power infrastructure.

By improving health outcomes, particularly for women and girls, the project anticipates benefits such as increased productivity, reduced healthcare costs, and improved quality of life. The initiative also aligns with global sustainability goals by promoting clean energy and reducing environmental impact.
