WiRE Juniors
WiRE Juniors is an innovative initiative within the Women in Renewable Energy community, seeks to captivate the interest of young individuals ranging from teens to adolescents and children by educating them about the crucial role of energy in their daily lives. This initiative is particularly timely considering the growing prevalence of electric cars and the anticipation of numerous energy-dependent devices in the future.
Adapting a mission focused on advancing the role and recognition of women and underrepresented groups in the energy sector for children requires framing it in a way that is accessible and meaningful to them. Here’s a child-friendly version:
WiRE Juniors Mission
To inspire, prepare, and equip young individuals who aspire to become future energy leaders, particularly those in high schools and grade schools.
By making the mission engaging and relatable, children and young adults can begin to understand the importance of diversity and inclusion in the energy sector from an early age, setting a foundation for a future where everyone can contribute to creating a cleaner, fairer energy system.
