Tania has 17 years of experience in the energy sector working in Latin America and the Middle East. Her passion for fostering professional women's participation in the global energy transformation inspired her to join WiRE as chapter lead. She has worked with governmental and international companies providing services to the energy sector and led student and technical chapters in the UAE. Tania Zepeda's major in geology in Mexico, where she supported the women's presence in engineering, leading and developing the first women lead summit for Women in Engineering. Tania Zepeda Luna received her M.Sc. degree in Reservoir Evaluation and Management from Heriot-Watt University in the UK in 2009. Currently, she is pursuing her M.Sc. in Energy at the same university. Since 2020, Tania's goal has been directed to the upcoming energy transition, players' participation and the role of women in this change in the Middle East. Her expertise includes evaluation of Renewable Energy Technologies, Carbon footprint and Energy Chain Analysis. With special interests in Geothermal Energy generation and CCUS Technology for supporting and advancing decarbonisation strategies.
