Job Description
WiRE is actively seeking a LinkedIn Manager who possesses a deep understanding of the LinkedIn platform, its features, and its potential for community engagement. This role offers an enriching opportunity for individuals passionate about renewable energy, women’s empowerment, and social media management. The successful candidate will be entrusted with the critical task of leveraging LinkedIn’s features such as posting in the feed, live streaming, to enhance WiRE’s online presence and engagement.
Responsibilities
Here are some of the responsibilities associated with your role. Please note that these are not exhaustive, and you may find it beneficial to modify or add tasks to enhance efficiency. The responsibilities include:
Manage WiRE’s LinkedIn account: Ensure a consistent and engaging presence by leveraging LinkedIn’s features such as live streaming and groups.
Content Development: Curate compelling posts that align with WiRE’s mission and initiatives, including daily updates based on WiRE programming, partner and sponsor events, and industry news.
Community Engagement: Respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner to foster an interactive online community.
Analytics Monitoring: Track LinkedIn analytics to understand user engagement and adjust strategies as needed.
Collaboration: Work closely with the WiRE Communications team to promote events, initiatives, and news. Liaise with Communications Committee members to prepare graphics and promotional text for WiRE programming.
Contract Compliance: Monitor WiRE’s marketing and promotional commitments with partners and sponsors on LinkedIn to ensure contract compliance.
Contribution to Projects: Provide social media insights to ad hoc internal projects and initiatives, and assist in preparing marketing material as needed.
Qualifications
Please keep in mind not all qualifications are necessary, many can be learned/taught. What cannot be taught/learned is passion and drive, so if you have those two then please apply! It’s a bonus if you have:
Proven experience as a social media manager or similar role.
Excellent knowledge of LinkedIn and other social media best practices.
Exceptional written communication skills.
Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics.
Familiarity with audience research.
Good understanding of social media KPIs.
Degree in Marketing or relevant field is a plus.
