Student Chapter Leaders
WiRE Student Chapter Lead
Description
Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE) is seeking Student Chapter Leads to help lead the formation and growth of student chapters across Canada. As a Student Chapter Lead volunteer, you will work closely with WiRE’s Academic Committee to develop and implement strategies to engage students and increase awareness of energy issues. This is a unique leadership opportunity for students who are passionate about energy and gender equality and are looking to make a positive impact in their community.

Responsibilities
Leadership responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following areas:
Develop and execute outreach strategies to recruit new members to the WiRE student community.
Coordinate and lead events and activities, including workshops, networking events, and webinars.
Represent WiRE at university and community events and promote the organization's mission and objectives.
Collaborate with other WiRE student chapters to share best practices, resources, and events.
Maintain effective communication with WiRE student members and to ensure that they are informed and engaged in the organization's activities.
Maintain accurate records of chapter activities and provide regular reports to the WiRE Academic Committee.
Contribute to the development of WiRE's communication strategy and social media presence.
Provide feedback on WiRE's programs and initiatives to help ensure that they align with the needs and interests of our community.
Qualifications
Registered student at a Canadian university or college.
Passionate about promoting energy and gender equality.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to plan, organize, and execute events and activities.
Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools.
Availability to commit to at least 4 hours per week.
