ARC Clean Energy
ARC is a clean energy technology company developing the ARC-100, an advanced small modular reactor (aSMR) offering inherently safe, reliable, and economical carbon free power. Leveraging proven technology from the 30-year performance of its prototype, the ARC-100’s simple, modular design provides 100 megawatts of electricity and industrial heat that is cost competitive with fossil fuels. Important applications include the decarbonization of heavy industry, the fueling of low-carbon hydrogen projects, and the creation of valuable medical isotopes. The ARC-100 has been selected by New Brunswick Power for implementation on their Point Lepreau site with completion targeted for the late 2020s. ARC has offices in Saint John, New Brunswick and Washington, DC.
Cowater Sogema International
Our story started on a canoe trip in Algonquin park, Canada, more than 36 years ago. Since then, we have grown into a leading global development consulting company. Headquartered in Ottawa and with corporate hubs in Brussels, London (UK), Montreal and Nairobi, Cowater International has successfully delivered a portfolio of over 2500 projects and assignments in more than 95 countries. We work with governments, private sector actors and communities implementing projects that support socio-economic development, institutional strengthening, environmental improvements and advance equal opportunities for all.
We support trade and better economic opportunities for women in the Middle East and bring water supply infrastructure to remote communities in conflict-affected Sahel. We collaborate with smallholder farmers in Indonesia to make their produce comply with international standards so they can access global supply chains, and partner with governments in Latin America to modernize public institutions and enhance economic competitiveness.
EDP Renewables
Our sustainable future is dependent on solid development efforts. EDPR’s teams of highly experienced and qualified developers start by locating a site with quality renewable resource, either wind or solar, with nearby electricity transmission lines. After partnering with landowners or municipalities, the critical process of measuring the wind begins. Data collection can last for several years.
EDPR’s goal is to be a reference in the industry for building the most cost competitive, safe and efficient wind farms and solar plants. Our Procurement, Engineering and Construction teams are well equipped to select the best wind turbines and solar panel systems based on each project’s specifics. We also use in-house expertise to design the bestsites, and assure top-class engineering and construction standards.
As an owner and operator, EDPR is committed to maintaining long-term operations of our projects for the benefit of our shareholders and stakeholders while always keeping our environmental impact to a minimum. Our wind farms have a long-term projected life span; thus, it is critical to our longevity that we focus on maintaining the highest levels of availability, through regularly scheduled maintenance programs and performance improvement initiatives, while minimizing the associated costs through our strong O&M strategy.
