As a Red Seal Certified Construction Electrician and seasoned telecommunications professional, Deborah brings over three decades of diverse experience in traditionally male-dominated industries. From being the only female apprentice during her electrical training to becoming the first female Field Operations Manager in Nova Scotia with her former company, she has consistently championed equity and representation. Recognizing the importance of mentorship, she dedicated several years to mentoring with Techsploration, inspiring young women to explore careers in trades and technology. Her passion for renewable energy led her to serve as a founding board member of a CEDIF wind energy project in Nova Scotia. With the growing demand for solar and wind projects, and her extensive background in the electrical trade, Deborah is deeply committed to advancing clean energy solutions. She is passionate about educating and empowering women to invest their talents in meeting the increasing need for future energy initiatives.
