In 2007, at the age of 19, Denisa Fainis took her first steps in the UAE and embarked on her journey in the Middle East. Initially, she worked as a property consultant and later transitioned into the role of a marketing coordinator. After a couple of years, she was relocated by the same organization to Afghanistan, where she served as a procurement and BD representative for a US military contractor. This opportunity directly led to generating over $10 million in new business. Following her return to Dubai at the end of 2013, Fainis became involved in sales for IT security and training.
By the time she turned 25, Fainis had lived in various countries including the UAE, the United States, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Romania, and Spain. With a background in economics and law, she has accumulated over 16 years of work experience. She is proficient in Romanian, English, and Spanish.
Towards the end of 2014, Fainis embraced a fresh challenge with the Dar Al Tawasel group and played a crucial role in establishing and expanding a company called Water Adventure Dubai. This allowed her to combine her passion for water sports with her professional endeavors throughout 2015.
Subsequently, she made the decision to join Jubaili Bros, a company that had been her supplier of diesel gensets in Afghanistan. Their consistent reliability as a business partner and their alignment with her work style and growth aspirations led her to choose them.
In January 2022, Fainis achieved a significant milestone in her professional journey by joining the Three Eight Six team. This opportunity fulfilled her dream to work in solar PV development and financing, gaining firsthand experience in the process of bringing a project to fruition.
Being an active member of the Middle East Solar Industry Association as the Secretary General brings her great satisfaction as she contributes to its growth and expands her personal network in the process.
Fainis holds herself to high ethical standards and has both personal and professional integrity. Transparency, loyalty, and staying relevant are values she strongly believes in. She maintains a focused approach towards her objectives, is reliable, a quick learner, works well without supervision, consistently delivers results, and prioritizes punctuality. Moreover, she has a keen ability to discern falsehoods and avoid them. Denisa looks forward to contributing to WiRE and helping to bring recognition to Women in the global energy industry.
