Lindah Ddamba is an accomplished professional with diverse experience in the energy and legal sectors. Throughout her career, she has held key positions and made significant contributions to sustainable resource development, policy analysis, and legal frameworks in Uganda and Canada.
Lindah has extensive experience in research and policy development, having worked as a Research Professional at the Canadian International Resources and Development Institute, University of British Columbia, and as a Research Assistant at the same institution. Her research focused on sustainable resource development and governance, particularly in the artisanal and small-scale mining industry, and the impact of COVID-19 on electric utilities and the energy transition.
In her previous role as a Senior Legal Officer, Licensing, at the Electricity Regulatory Authority in Uganda, Lindah developed policies and regulations for the Electricity Supply Industry, evaluated new energy projects for licensing purposes, and conducted mid-term project reviews. She also served as a Senior Legal Associate at Kampala Associated Advocates, where she provided legal advice and representation to clients.
Lindah holds a Master of Public Policy and Global Affairs (MPPA) in Public Policy Analysis from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Resources, Environment, and Sustainability (MRES) in Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources from the same institution. She also holds a Corporate Governance certification from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
Lindah is a highly skilled and dedicated professional with a passion for promoting sustainable development through research, policy, and advocacy. Her expertise in energy, law, and policy analysis makes her a valuable asset to any organization seeking to make a positive impact in these areas.
