Who is WiRE?

Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to bring recognition to women and other underrepresented groups in the energy sector and support their professional development and leadership. We believe that this mission is more critical than ever as we strive for a just energy transition. We are committed to empowering people globally, ensuring they receive the recognition, support, and opportunities they deserve.

WiRE is looking for volunteers to help with:

• Events & Education: Organizing local and virtual events, workshops, and webinars on topics related to energy and gender.

• Communications: Creating and managing social media content and campaigns to raise awareness and visibility of WiRE and its activities.

• Partnerships: Developing and maintaining relationships with local organizations, institutions, and stakeholders in the energy sector.

• Research: Conducting research and analysis on the status and trends of women in the energy sector.

• Mentorship: Providing mentoring and coaching to young women who aspire to pursue a career in the energy sector.
