Shirin Hosseini is a power electronic student dedicated to designing and controlling DC, AC, and hybrid AC-DC microgrids. She possesses extensive experience in integrating renewable generations and developing power quality compensators. Her knowledge of Heuristic optimization algorithms, Automatic Generation Control (AGC), and Load Frequency Control (LFC) in power systems is remarkable.
Skilled in simulation tools like MATLAB and PSIM, Shirin also has experience in Android programming. Her research interests include modular multilevel converter operation and control, power converters design and control, and smart power converters control for microgrid power flow and power quality management.
Shirin has held various positions at esteemed organizations, contributing her expertise as a Research Assistant, Teaching Assistant, and Electrical Engineer. She has collaborated on projects involving the interlinking converters control in hybrid AC/DC microgrids as an active power filter, developing adequate control systems, and researching multi-layer control strategies for microgrids.
Fluent in Farsi and English, Shirin is an accomplished professional dedicated to advancing power electronics and microgrid technologies.
