Since earning her degree in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University, Sheriza Jiwani has dedicated her career to reducing the environmental impact of human activity. She began as an Energy Consultant at EQ Building Performance, where she collaborated with interdisciplinary design teams to improve energy performance and reduce carbon emissions across a wide range of buildings, from high-rises to spas to community centers.
Driven by her desire to further expand her impact, Sheriza transitioned to the Renewables and Energy Storage sector, joining RheEnergise. Here, she leads the development of the company’s novel Fluid Management System, overseeing the entire lifecycle from concept design through to commissioning, and plays a key role in advancing innovative High Density pumped hydro technology.
Beyond her technical work, Sheriza is passionate about supporting the next generation of sustainability leaders. As Co-Lead of the Canada Green Building Council’s Emerging Green Professionals Executive Team, she helped foster education, engagement, and a strong sense of community within the green building sector.
