Megan Gill stands as a seasoned regulatory professional in the energy sector, with over 11 years of expertise. Excelling in research, advocacy, regulatory affairs, government relations, leadership, strategy, and electricity markets, she holds a profound understanding of energy policies, regulations, and rules governing the electricity industry. Her passion for empowering women to thrive in leadership positions drives her mission to create a more equitable future.
Throughout her career, Gill spearheaded the development and implementation of ADC's strategic plan as Executive Director and successfully championed consumer interests before the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC). Collaborating with stakeholders, she promoted the development of a competitive electricity market in Alberta
As the Founder of Repowered Leadership, she provides executive coaching and leadership development services to women in the energy sector. Gill develops and delivers tailored workshops and programs on leadership, communication, and career development. Her coaching empowers women leaders to reach their full potential and advance in their careers.
Certified as a Positive Intelligence coach, Gill supports individuals and teams in developing mental fitness and resilience. She conducts workshops and coaching sessions to help clients make lasting changes in their lives.
Gill's previous roles include Regulatory Manager at Capital Power, Manager of Market Policy & Analysis at Utilities Consumer Advocate, Director of Regulatory at Genalta Power, Profitability Analyst at Canadian Pacific Railway, Billing and Regulatory Analyst at Direct Energy, Customer Strategy and Marketing Co-op Student at BC Hydro, and Associate Analyst at Advanis.
Gill earned her Bachelor of Commerce, Marketing (Co-op) from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary. She holds the Rosie Mentoring Program and The Prosperity Project certifications. With a strong focus on regulatory affairs, industry knowledge, and interpersonal skills, she continues to make a significant impact in the energy sector.
