Join WiRE UK on May 30th for a site visit to Northwick Power, a leading industrial food waste processing facility located in north Gloucestershire, near Chipping Campden. Discover how Northwick Power utilises Anaerobic Digestion to transform a wide range of food waste feedstocks into 100% renewable electricity and gas, which are then exported back to the national grids. The visit will begin with an introduction and overview of the site from 12-2pm joined by Northwick Power's General Manager and Air Liquide Advanced Business & Technology female Managing Director, then followed by a tour of the plant. We will then head over to a nearby restaurant where we will host a networking lunch.
Attendees must arrange their own transportation to and from Birmingham train station . Shared transport will be arranged to/from Birmingham stationAttendees must arrange their own transportation to and from Birmingham train station (Birmingham New Street) to the site. Please indicate in your registration whether you will be using the shared transfer or arriving with your own vehicle. Public transport is very difficult in this area.
Important Note: This is a working industrial site processing food waste and raw materials. Conditions may be muddy. Full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided. Please bring your own adequate footwear / wellies and dress appropriately for these conditions.
