    Required skills & experience:

    • work experience and/or educational background in an area relevant to the clean energy transition:

    o Engineering or applied science

    o Economics and financial analysis

    o Renewable energy, energy efficiency and decarbonization technologies or policy

    o Urban planning or other relevant multi-disciplinary fields

    • knowledge and experience with the MS Office suite, with a particular emphasis on effective Microsoft Excel skills (organizing data, solving analytical problems, visual presentation of results)

    • ability to write and communicate clearly in English

    • ability to prioritize effectively and work on multiple tasks / projects within established timelines and budgets

    • ability to work in a team and strong interpersonal skills

    • demonstrated interest in the clean energy transition

    Preferred skills and experience:

    • 2-5 years experience working in a field relevant to the clean energy transition

    • experience solving analytical problems with coding languages ​​(such as Python or R) for modeling economic and energy impacts and trends

    • ability to write and communicate clearly in French

    • a solid experience and technical background in one or more the following areas:

    o building science

    o energy efficiency measure characterization

    o electrification of transportation

    o vehicle fleet management or electrification

    o GIS/spatial analysis

    o modeling

    o corporate decarbonization and corporate social responsibility

    • experience with consulting ( project management, synthesizing information, client relationships, etc.)

    • deep understanding of the issues and complexities of the clean energy transition.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    In collaboration with more than 40 expert colleagues in the field, you will carry out studies and plans for governments (municipal, provincial and federal), utilities and non-profit organizations with decision-making power and/or influence to move the transition forward in an efficient and responsible manner. You will contribute to a variety of impactful projects for our clients across Canada and the US

    Analysts and Senior Analysts at Dunsky play an important role supporting our work in assessing the potential for adoption of clean energy solutions as well as designing and evaluating clean energy strategies.

    Your tasks as an analyst may include:

    • Developing, applying and improving analytical models and tools to assess energy saving opportunities

    • Assessing and characterizing clean energy technologies

    • Conducting analysis of energy use and market data to support the design and evaluation of clean energy programs and policies

    • Researching best practices in energy efficiency program design and energy management

    • Conducting primary research such as surveys with market actors and gathering information on market dynamics

    • Documenting and interpreting findings using compelling visual presentation of data and effective writing.

    We're looking for someone with experience in building energy efficiency and decarbonization who has the skills to be either an Analyst or a Consultant. At Dunsky, Analysts focus primarily on conducting research, performing technical analysis, and building quantitative tools to meet our clients’ needs. Consultants typically have experience in the same tasks, but also bring effective client management, reporting writing and presentation skills.

    • Knowledge of measures, programs or policies relating to the decarbonization of buildings, energy, and/or industry

    • Knowledge and experience with the MS Office suite, with a particular emphasis on Excel (organizing data, solving analytical problems, visual presentation of results)

    • Ability to write and communicate clearly in English

    • Ability to prioritize effectively and work on multiple tasks/ projects within established timelines and budgets

    • A strong degree of comfort with conducting, reviewing and interpreting quantitative analysis

    • A solid understanding of DSM regulatory frameworks, including cost benefit analysis, cost recovery mechanisms, performance incentive mechanisms, and stakeholder advisory committee structures

    • Experience with DSM program portfolio planning, within utility DSM frameworks

    • Knowledge of measures, programs or policies relating to the decarbonization of buildings, energy, and/or industry

    • Knowledge and experience with the MS Office suite, with a particular emphasis on Excel (organizing data, solving analytical problems, visual presentation of results)

    • Ability to write and communicate clearly in English
