The Association for Women in Energy and Extractives in Kenya (AWEIK) is a professional membership organization dedicated to advancing gender inclusion, equity, and economic empowerment across Kenya’s energy and extractives value chains.
AWEIK works at all levels of the sector—from supporting artisanal workers and women-led clean energy enterprises to elevating corporate leaders and decision-makers. Through targeted capacity building, policy advocacy, market linkages, and mentorship, AWEIK breaks down structural barriers to unlock business and career opportunities for women.
