Dr. Rahaf Ajaj is an Assistant Professor at the College of Health Sciences at Abu Dhabi University. She worked as a Postdoctoral Associate Researcher at Carleton University on the DEAP-3600 experiment. She completed her doctoral thesis in the field of Environmental Radiation. She holds an M.Sc. degree in Radiation Physics and B.Sc. degree in Medical Physics. Her research is situated on Climate Change, Renewable Energy, and Occupational and Environmental Health & Safety, focusing on radiation protection, safety, and regulations. She is an author and co-author of peer-reviewed publications and taught various courses in the field of EH&S. She has given several invited/plenary talks at international conferences. Dr. Ajaj has more than ten years of professional work experience at a nuclear authority and a petroleum council with extensive experience in inspection, regulation, and managing health, safety, and environmental concerns.
