Lucia Westin-Eastaugh LL.B., B.C.L., LL.M. is an associate lawyer specializing in regulatory law with a focus on energy, environment, natural resources, construction, and aboriginal law. She has extensive experience assisting clients with navigating complex regulatory requirements, including appearances before the Canada Energy Regulator. Ms. Westin-Eastaugh is skilled in dispute resolution, having represented clients in forums from the Small Claims Court of New Brunswick to the Federal Court of Appeal, and has guided negotiations with First Nations in Atlantic Canada.
In addition to her private practice, Lucia has contributed to public policy as a Senior Corporate Strategist for the Government of Nova Scotia's Department of Natural Resources and Renewables. She is also a proud member of Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE), advocating for the recognition of women's contributions to the energy sector.
Lucia holds an Advanced LL.M. in Energy Law from the North Sea Energy Law Partnership, a coalition of leading European universities. She also earned a transsystemic Bachelor of Civil Law and Bachelor of Laws (B.C.L./LL.B.) from McGill University, where she honed her legal skills in both common and civil law traditions. During her studies, she was actively involved in various initiatives, including the International Human Rights Internship Programme and Pro Bono Students Canada.
