Rebecca Nambuya is a highly skilled Project Engineer specializing in renewable energy, with over four years of experience primarily focused on solar energy solutions. As a Projects Engineer at the Centre for Research in Energy and Energy Conservation (CREEC) in Uganda, she excels in solar PV system design and installation, project management, and technical training.
Rebecca's impactful work includes leading initiatives to bridge the energy access gap in underserved communities, notably rehabilitating solar systems for health centers and empowering over 200 youths and women through solar PV installation and maintenance training. Her expertise also extends to solar laboratory operations (ISO 17025) and mini-grid development, reflecting a commitment to sustainable energy and community development. She is fluent in English with basic Kiswahili, and looks forward to contributing to her chapter of Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE) Uganda.
