Swati Gupta is the CEO and founder of Rara Energy Consulting, a firm dedicated to advancing sustainable energy solutions through cutting-edge subsurface and reservoir engineering. With a strong focus on hydrogen storage, carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS), and underground energy storage, Swati is committed to driving the global energy transition through innovative and sustainable technologies.
With over 15 years of experience in the energy sector, Swati has worked extensively on hydrogen storage projects, including a key role in the development of the Kintore Hydrogen Plant in the UK—set to become the world’s third-largest green hydrogen facility upon completion. Her expertise in underground hydrogen storage and CCUS has been instrumental in optimizing storage solutions using depleted reservoirs and other geological formations.
As a passionate advocate for renewable energy, Swati is eager to join Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE) to collaborate with industry leaders and promote greater diversity and innovation in the sector. Through her leadership at Rara Energy Consulting, she continues to pioneer sustainable energy solutions that support a low-carbon future.
