Green hydrogen is a clean and renewable energy source, that can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and mitigate climate change. Azerbaijan, a country rich in oil and gas resources, is well positioned to become a major player in the green hydrogen economy, thanks to its high solar generation potential, cost-effective pipeline networks, and strategic location.
If you are interested in learning more about the opportunities and challenges of developing and exporting green hydrogen in Azerbaijan, you are cordially invited to attend a virtual event organized by Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE) on November 23, 2023, 10am EST / 7pm GMT+4.
The event will feature a keynote speech by Mrs Rana Humbatova, the Head of the Hydrogen and Green Technologies Department of the Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency under the Ministry of Energy. Mrs Humbatova has more than 15 years of experience working on climate change and renewable energy issues, both in the public and private sectors. She is also a member of the UNFCCC Roster of Experts, serving as an international expert on the review of greenhouse gas inventories and impact assessment of mitigation measures.
Rana will share her insights on the current status and future prospects of green hydrogen in Azerbaijan, as well as the policies, technologies, and partnerships needed to realize its full potential.
We look forward to seeing you at this event and exploring the future of Azerbaijan’s low hydrogen economy together!
The 1 hour virtual event will feature:
