Eric Chassard Biography
Eric Chassard is President and CEO of Bruce Power. Eric previously served as the company’s Executive Vice-President of Projects and Engineering, where he successfully led the on-time and on-budget delivery of Bruce Power’s Life-Extension Program, which included delivering the first of six unit refurbishments ahead of schedule and under budget in 2023.
Eric has an extensive background in the nuclear industry and has held a series of senior executive positions both in nuclear operations and overseeing multibillion-dollar project portfolios. Prior to joining Bruce Power, Eric was CEO of Menter Newydd, a joint venture between Hitachi, Bechtel and JGC responsible for the construction of the Wylfa nuclear power plants. He also held increasingly senior positions within the AREVA Group, most recently serving as Senior Executive Vice-President of AREVA covering worldwide engineering, supply chain and project activities.
Eric has a degree in Engineering specializing in Nuclear Engineering and holds a post-graduate diploma in Nuclear Reactor Physics. In 2018, he was awarded the French National Order of Merit for his leadership contributions to AREVA. Eric proudly became a Canadian citizen in 2023.

Sylviah Mwaura is a highly driven, self-motivated, and multifaceted professional with over eight years of experience in the retail banking sector, primarily in credit and business development departments. She also possesses three years of consulting experience in training, quantitative and qualitative research, and financial technology management. She has a proven track record in leadership, innovation, product development, and implementation, having successfully managed various projects from inception to completion across different organizational levels.
Grace Perkins, Director of Quality Management at Husk Power
Grace Perkins is passionate about helping businesses operate more efficiently and effectively. For the past nine years, she has worked on issues related to electricity access in Africa, consistently at the intersection of the public and private sectors. Her skillset encompasses building partnerships, business development, strategy, operations, and team and project management.
She recently announced that she is starting a new position as Director of Quality Management at Husk Power. After serving minigrid companies at the Africa Minigrid Developers Association (AMDA), she is excited to return to working directly on energy access with minigrid industry leaders and to contribute to the scale and speed of minigrid development across the sector. In this role, she will focus on building out systems and processes for Husk as the company expands and grows. Her work will also include expansion into new African countries, notably the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), a new market for her personally. As she embarks on this new chapter, she is eager to connect with those in her network who have experience in the DRC and welcomes them to reach out for a conversation.

Lesley Gallinger Biography
Under the leadership of Lesley Gallinger, the IESO oversees the safe and reliable operation of Ontario’s bulk electricity system, ensuring affordable electricity is available when and where people need it. As part of its mandate to plan and prepare for the future, the IESO works with sector partners to identify energy needs, develop supply options, drive innovation, and harness data and information for decision-making. The IESO also delivers energy efficiency and demand management programs that contribute to the cost-effectiveness and reliability of Ontario’s power system.
Throughout her career, Ms. Gallinger has focused on driving strategic change within complex organizations to deliver shareholder and stakeholder value. Prior to joining the IESO, she served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Elexicon Energy, a large municipally-owned electricity distributor in Ontario, which she led through a sizeable merger integration. She has also held senior roles in the electricity sector that include Chief Strategy and Financial Officer at the Electrical Safety Authority as well as VP, Corporate and Regulatory Affairs and Chief Financial Officer at Oakville Hydro.
Ms. Gallinger sits on several boards, including the Ontario Energy Network, where she is Past Chair, and the Nuclear Waste Management Organization. Prior to joining the IESO she also served on the boards of the Ontario Energy Association and the Electricity Distributors Association. She holds a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University, is a Chartered Professional Accountant and a Certified Public Accountant (Illinois). She has also completed the Chartered Director and Audit Committee Certified program at the DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University.
