"Let's Color Renewable Energy!": A Bright Idea for Children's Day by WiRE Azerbaijan

Activity Title: "Let’s Color Renewable Energy!" – A STEAM Learning Session
In celebration of International Children’s Day on June 1st, WiRE Azerbaijan delivered a special educational initiative at Government School Lyceum No. 83. As part of the event, students participated in a STEAM class that highlighted the importance of clean energy through an engaging and creative a custom-designed coloring book titled “Let’s Color Renewable Energy!”
📚 About the Coloring Book
Designed to introduce primary school children to solar, wind, and other forms of renewable energy, the coloring book features cheerful illustrations of solar panels, wind turbines, and eco-friendly environments.
🎨 Classroom Engagement
During the session, students enthusiastically colored scenes depicting a sustainable future while discussing the significance of clean energy in combating climate change. The activity not only sparked their creativity but also fostered early awareness about environmental stewardship.
🗣️ STEAM Class Discussion
The STEAM faculty of the school guided a short discussion with the students on how solar panels work, the role of the sun and wind in powering our homes, and why renewable energy is vital for a greener planet.
💬 Impact
The children showed great interest and curiosity, asking insightful questions and proudly sharing their colored pages. The initiative served as a perfect example of blending fun with education while inspiring the next generation of clean energy advocates.
