Branksome Hall Seeks Wind Energy Speaker

Application Deadline: January 10, 2024

Branksome Hall, located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, is a distinguished independent institution that offers an all-girls education from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12. The school is renowned for its commitment to fostering an environment of academic excellence and character development.

In February 2024, the Grade 9 students at Branksome Hall will be undertaking a significant STEM project focused on the construction of wind turbines. This project is a testament to the school’s dedication to providing hands-on, experiential learning opportunities that align with real-world applications and advancements in the STEM fields.

To further enrich this learning experience, Branksome Hall is seeking a guest speaker from Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE) to share insights about wind energy. The school believes that having a female speaker from WiRE would not only enhance the students’ understanding of wind energy but also inspire them by showcasing successful women in the renewable energy sector. This aligns with Branksome Hall’s mission to empower young women and prepare them for leadership roles in the global community.
