The WiRE organization is currently seeking volunteers for its communicatinos committee to help with the successful management  of Wire’s Twitter account

In this role, you will be responsible for approving posts, approving/removing new followers, and reporting to and working closely with the Communications Committee.

When you join our growing team, you will:

  • Work collaboratively with the committee to manage WiRE's awards and recognition initiatives.

  • Participate in scheduled meetings with committee members and partner organizations.

  • Coordinate the adjudication process with judges, partner organizations, and committee members.

  • Draft necessary reports using Twitters analytics.

  • Assess the success of our Twitter profile and articulate findings to the WiRE Board of Directors and Advisory Committee.

  • Continue the ongoing development of the WiRE Twitter profile.

  • Think of creative ways for WiRE to engage with the energy industry using the WiRE Twitter profile.

Who will you be reporting to:

  • Operations Director and Communications Committee

Volunteer Requirements:

A willingness to learn. You must have a high aptitude for using social platforms. Experience is not required, however it is definitely beneficial.

Good time management. You must possess the ability to write and edit on a deadline. We need someone who is prompt and punctual.

Great communication skills. You will be engaging with our stakeholders and visible to WiRE’s Twitter following of 15,000+ followers, being able to communicate respectfully and intelligently is obligatory.

Hours:

We anticipate this volunteer position to require a minimum 6 to 12 hours per month, varying from month to month.
