We are proud to announce that the multi-impact project idea developed with Selen İnal and Yasemin Somuncu has been funded by the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) and will be implemented by Türkiye’s leading business associations in their respective fields — Sektörel Dernekler Federasyonu (SEDEFED) and Energy Efficiency and Management Association (EYODER) — alongside Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE). The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) provides modest funding for small-scale, high-impact projects in more than 120 countries eligible for official development assistance (ODA). Our project will have a significant #impact in the following areas #women, #Entrepreneurship #SustainableEnergy #RegionalDevelopment #EconomicRecovery
We Support the Empowerment of 100 Women Entrepreneurs for Post-Earthquake Clean Energy Solutions in #Adana #Gaziantep #Hatay and #Şanlıurfa. From August 15, 2024, to February 21, 2025, this project will include workshops, capacity-building, and mentoring seminars, both in-person and online. Our goal is to empower #womenentrepreneurs with the knowledge and skills they need to adopt #cleanenergy solutions, contributing to #sustainabledevelopment in their communities. Through this initiative, we aim to establish #sustainable and#innovative collaborations between Canadian companies and local SMEs, inspiring similar efforts in other #earthquake-affected regions. Together, we are working towards a #sustainablefuture for Türkiye, enhancing women’s participation in #economicrecovery efforts.
