Ana Gorgyan is a Director of Engineering with over 20 years of experience in the energy sector, including 10 years in strategic leadership roles. She holds multiple degrees, including an MBA, an MSc in Mechanical Engineering, a BSc in Electrical Engineering, and an undergraduate degree in IT, and is a Chartered Energy Engineer. Ana has led complex energy projects across the UK, Iceland, UAE, Kazakhstan, Ghana, South Africa, Argentina, and Chile, spanning conventional and low-carbon power generation, hybrid energy systems, and innovative technology deployments.

She currently oversees multi-gigawatt projects, including the Iceland–UK 4 GW non-standard interconnector, hybrid offshore wind–battery energy storage systems, carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects, fuel cell deployments, and advanced power solutions for AI and data centre infrastructures. She has also delivered fast-track gas-fired plants and developed scalable, grid-independent energy solutions.

Ana is a recognised leader in her field, having been named one of the Top 50 Women in Engineering 2023 by the Women’s Engineering Society, UK. More recently, she has been nominated for the Data Centre Woman of the Year Award, with the result to be announced on 10 December.
