Emily is an innovative and creative power systems engineer with an inherent bias for action. She thrives on driving positive change in the energy sector and her mission is to build a sustainable and inclusive energy future. Emily is a strong supporter of women in the power sector and understands the strength of diverse perspectives. As a vital part of the Independent Electricity Systems Operator (IESO) team, she leads impact-assessment projects to integrate diverse energy resources into Ontario’s power system, employing rigorous analysis. She is instrumental in IESO risk management practices where she identifies, assesses and mitigates operational risks for the business. In addition to her technical endeavors, she volunteers her time as an advisory committee member at Women In Renewable Energy (WiRE). Emily has a BESc in Electrical Engineering from Western University and is a registered Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario. In her spare time, you’ll find Emily on the soccer field or hitting the ground for a run.
