Help Us Break Barriers & Shape the Future of Clean Energy

Your Voice. Your Reality. Shaping an Equitable Clean Energy Sector.

The Clean Energy Dual-Stream Inclusive Talent Advancement Program (CE-TAP)—led by Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE) in partnership with Femmes en Énergie Renouvelable (FER) and supported by the Government of Ontario’s Women’s Economic Legacy & Leadership (WELL) Fund—is conducting a province-wide Lived Experience Survey.

We invite Indigenous women (First Nations, Métis, Inuit), racialized women, 2SLGBTQ+ professionals, newcomers, individuals with disabilities, tradespeople, engineers, and underrepresented workers across Ontario’s energy, power, utilities, and clean tech sectors to share their insights.

Your lived experiences and workplace insights will directly inform executive leadership training, workplace policy reform, and systemic equity benchmarks across Ontario's energy landscape.

Why Your Voice Matters

Systemic friction—from field-site cultural safety issues to promotion bottlenecks—often goes unmeasured. Policy updates and executive training require real data to drive lasting change.

By completing this 10–12 minute survey, you provide the critical evidence needed to:

  • Expose Advancement Barriers: Identify structural friction in promotions, foreign credential recognition, mentorship, and leadership pathways.

  • Advance Cultural & Land-Based Safety: Shape HR policies around cultural accommodations, ceremonial leave, and site safety for Indigenous professionals.

  • Build Inclusive Workplaces: Measure psychological safety, code-switching, and workplace climate across field sites, engineering hubs, and corporate offices.

  • Hold Leaders Accountable: Guide C-Suite executive training and allyship programs using anonymized, sector-specific data.

Privacy, Anonymity & Cultural Safety First

Sharing personal workplace experiences requires trust. Your safety, confidentiality, and time are protected at every step:

  • 100% Confidential & Anonymized: Survey responses are aggregated into broad statistical trends. Individual answers or identifiable details are never shared.

  • Dynamic Survey Logic: Smart branching ensures you only complete questions relevant to your identity background and job function, avoiding unnecessary survey fatigue.

  • Full Autonomy: You maintain complete control over what you share, with options to skip questions or select "Prefer not to say" on demographic sections.

Who Should Take This Survey?

We welcome perspectives from professionals across all career stages and job functions in Ontario’s energy, utilities, and clean-tech industries:
