About CE-TAP
Ontario’s clean energy sector is expanding at an unprecedented rate, driving a massive surge in workforce demand. As Canada elevates its global position to attract international talent and foreign investment, empowering and retaining our domestic workforce is equally essential. Meeting this moment requires bold leadership, diverse perspectives, and inclusive workplace cultures where every professional can thrive.
Following our official program launch hosted at Minwaashin Lodge (Aboriginal Women's Support Centre), CE-TAP represents a transformative provincial investment dedicated to breaking glass ceilings and driving intersectional inclusion. Delivered by Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE) in partnership with Electricity Human Resources Canada (EHRC) and Mischa Oak, 2SLGBTQIA+ Inclusion Specialist, CE-TAP is fully funded by the Government of Ontario’s Women’s Economic Leadership and Legacy (WELL) Fund, with strong championing from Minister Charmaine Williams and Parliamentary Assistant George Darouze.
CE-TAP drives sector-wide equity across the electricity and renewable energy industries by surfacing real-world barriers and insights directly from energy professionals. Analyzing what works from both a top-down and bottom-up perspective ensures that women, Indigenous women, 2SLGBTQ+ individuals, and underrepresented talent don’t just participate—they have a direct path to lead.
