1. Real Estate

Position Description

The Project Analyst will report to the SVP, Value Creation and Asset Management, and work closely with the Project Directors within the Value Creation and Asset Management team. They will oversee a variety of duties including project data management, project development, construction, transition, and asset management activities. The incumbent will oversee a variety of projects, review reports from service providers, create standardized operational processes, and produce internal management reports. This position will be either remote within Canada or based out of our Oakville, On office.

Key Functions and Responsibilities

• Responsible primarily for supporting Project Directors on asset performance management

• Receive and evaluate monthly performance reports from project operators

• Support the review and validation of all deliverables required per the Project agreements

• Assist the Project Directors on the production of all Board reporting obligations

• Support the monthly executive update on asset performance

• Support quarterly asset valuation processes

• Perform bespoke analysis on asset performance, as requested

• Review operational issues/trends, identify potential improvements and participate in the implementation of solutions

• Perform detailed audits of the operator’s performance and reporting

• Manage the receipt and distribution of change orders for each asset

• Attend meetings as required for each asset

• Assist as required with due diligence and review of potential project acquisitions


Reporting Lines

This position reports to the SVP, Value Creation and Asset Management.


Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, business or a relevant field of study

• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the power industry, preferably as a project manager or engineer

• Preference will be given to candidates with specific knowledge and experience in solar and/or wind assets

• Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience in data analysis and data visualization (excel, R, python, Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and database management (Access, SQL, etc.)

• A strong sense of curiosity

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong relationship building skills

• Ability to work with minimal supervision

• Ability to travel to various project sites as required


Location & Travel

The position will be based out of the Oakville or Toronto office. Fengate offers a Work-Flex policy where employees are allowed to work remotely up to 3 days per week.
