Reporting to the Manager, Renewable Energy Engineering, the Senior Systems Engineer - Electrical provides technical oversight for assigned projects in the TTC’s Renewable Energy Programs Department (REP). REP manages approximately $1 billion of programming related to the design, build, operations, maintenance, and renewal of TTC’s energy infrastructure to support a zero-carbon future. This infrastructure includes the eBus and other fleet charging systems, battery energy storage systems (BESS), solar PV systems and associated systems to support the TTC’s Green Fleet Plan, Green Facilities and other renewable energy and decarbonization programs.
The incumbent will be responsible for technical oversight of both capital projects and operations. This work may be carried out by the incumbent or by technical staff under their direct or indirect supervision.
The incumbent may also be responsible for providing leadership and overseeing the work of a small team of engineering technologist(s) and/or junior engineer(s).
